A.4- WORKING HOURS AND VACATION PERIOD

R1: Start date: May
The standard working hours are from 8:00 to 18:00 hrs (lunch at the employees lounge at the clinic).
Duty shift will start in the month of September.

In year 2, the allocation of modules (morning or evening) will vary depending on the type of surgery corresponding to the rotation in the different surgical specialties in the different years of residency. Because of this, the working schedule (distribution of mornings and evenings during the week) will vary every 3 to 4 months.

R2:
JULY-DECEMBER:
-Complete healthcare activity at ICU Mutua Terrassa
-Friday evening at I.Dexeus. Shifts on  I.U.Dexeus and Mutua Terrassa   

JANUARY-JUNE:
Complete activity at I.Dexeus: 6 Modules + shifts

R3:
JANUARY and FEBRUARY:
Complete healthcare activity and 2 shifts per month at H. Sant Joan de Deu + 1 module one evening per week at I.U. Dexeus

The remainder of the year 6 weekly modules and shifts at I.U. Dexeus.

R4:
Rotation work at Hospital del Sagrat Cor is only two days per week during the month of October. The rest of the week and the shifts will be carried out at I.U.Dexeus.
During rotations at Hospital de Sant Pau, the healthcare activity will be carried out at that centre (excepting shifts) + 1 module in the evening to be completed at I.U. Dexeus.
The rest of the year, the complete healthcare activity will be carried out at I.U.Dexeus: 6 weekly modules, although under exceptional circumstances, the number of modules can be up to 7.
Shift work will be carried out at I.U.Dexeus.
The year 4 resident or R4 will be responsible for elaborating the duty shift schedule of the residents.

VACATIONS: Vacation time should be distributed between the 15th of June and 30th of September so that no more than one resident is on holiday at a time.

All residents are entitled to two leave days per year: One (1 module) at Christmas and another one at Eastern. Residents may also benefit from 2 days off work per year for personal matters.
